By conducting precise field measurements, we evaluate the real-world performance of your corrosion control measures against NACE/AMPP industry standards. These surveys are critical for identifying “holidays” in protective coatings, detecting harmful stray currents, and ensuring that every mile of your asset is receiving adequate cathodic protection to prevent metal loss.

Our Services Include:

Annual Pipe-to-soil Potential Surveys (Polarized and Depolarized): Conducting routine assessments of “On” and “Instant-Off” potentials to verify that the protection levels meet the 850mV or 100mV polarization criteria.
Overline Surveys:
- Depth of Cover (DoC): Utilizing specialized equipment to accurately locate and measure the depth of buried assets, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental burial requirements.
- Close Interval Surveys (CIS): Providing a continuous high-resolution profile of pipe-to-soil potentials along the entire pipeline to pinpoint localized areas of low protection.
- AC/DC Voltage Gradient (ACVG/DCVG): Employing precision gradient testing to locate and characterize coating defects (holidays) without the need for costly excavations.
AC/DC Interference Testing & Mitigation: Investigating stray current interference from transit systems, neighboring pipelines, or overhead power lines to prevent accelerated localized corrosion.
Current requirement testing: Determining the precise amount of DC current needed to polarize a buried structure to its protective potential.
